“I’ve not been particularly close to our audit it does seem to have been a longer drawn out process than usual. Been introduced to lots to new staff by email ( e.g Jo taking a year off just as we had a established some good lines of communication). Slow responses by Oliver to getting my personal tax return done. Delighted to get a birthday gift well in advance, a nice touch. Still quite happy overall.”
“Because audit is always a stressful time of year but the members of staff from Cooper Parry that I deal with, mainly Glen and Bhavesh are always patient, helpful and put me at ease. They are always so professional with a calm and friendly approach. It almost becomes enjoyable :)”

Worked effectively with our finance staff and produced an easy to read and clear audit report and management letter that set out current position and next steps. Professional and effective throughout, whilst offering the challenge we would expect.”
“Overall, KES has an excellent relationship with CP and we are very pleased with the overall service received. The lack of an on-site audit causes a lot of work for the school in copying, scanning and sending documents that could otherwise just be handed over. We are able to provide a space for auditors to operate and there was no reason why at least some of the audit couldn’t have been done on-site. By changing the staff who carry out the audit year after year, and it is understood why this happens, there can be a lack of continuity and matters that drew comment this year are the same matters that hadn’t drawn comment for the previous 3 or 4 years (the reconciliation of the monthly credit card statements would be an example). Such inconsistency can be a bit bewildering and give a sense of goalposts being moved!!”
“Nicola (Whiting) is great – really expert in her field and super efficient and responsive. It’s not a 5 star as it felt like the audit fieldwork was split up and squeezed in around other commitments meaning that it was quite repetitive and disruptive for me. I know that this is being addressed for next year.”
“First rate service. The only points (and they are points rather than criticisms) I would like to make are that the timeframe during which we have been asked to supply information for the audit/annual financial statements/AAR seems to have expanded this year. However, I am aware that this may be due to DFE directives. Also, during the audit we found that we were asked for the same information by more than one member of the team so increasing our workload. However, again this could be due to external factors, i.e. working from home during the pandemic. We feel that moving forward it will always be beneficial for at least one member of the team to come into school at least once during the audit.”
“Generally excellent service and advice, and nice people to deal with. Costs for ancillary services seem a little high, and expectations on timeframes for completion of work / responses could sometimes be managed a bit better. Nearly 5 stars, would have picked 4.5 if it was an option!”
“Very supportive and ready to listen and advise. Inflo was a useful tool to provide supporting documents and, as audit was remote, daily Teams meetings with the audit team helped prioritise tasks.”
