“I think overall we have managed the audit very well. We have had a delayed but at the end it did feels that samples were taken late and reviews not finalised in the first part of the job – Feb/March? Holly and Dan were brilliant in the details and Lewis contribution in the closure managing all expectations too.”

“R&D Claim: The change in status for the claim meant I did not get the tax credit I would have expected This consequence of becoming a group on R&D claims had not been highlighted by your team advising on the change to group structure so it was a surprise. The additional cash will allow us to continue with R&D work”
“Strong performance from the supervising partner and good top level communications, but I am concerned about some potentially confused communications as we tried to get statutory accounts finalised (the dotting of is, crossing ts sort of phase) – 2 or 3 people seemed to be pursing the same objective at the CP working with a team at Portland which they knew was in crisis.”
“Well: Professional, competent staff who are great to deal with. Always. Services are pricey for a business at the small end of the spectrum like ourselves and just occasionally the turnaround times are a bit slow.”
“Audit process (which is the majority of our interaction) is very efficient and always runs smoothly, so i would award 5 starts on the basis of audit alone, however ad-hoc service responses can be a bit slow in my personal opinion and we received some incorrect tax advice in the last year resulting in me having to pay a c£24k interest liability to HMRC, hence the lower score reflected above.”
