What do you do?

I am an Associate Partner, helping to lead our Early Stage function in the Tech & High Growth Team. I support startups in the London startup ecosystem through the early years of finding product market fit, building out their team and successfully navigating their fund raising plans. I lead our teams providing; accurate and timely financial information, value adding management reports/investor reports, advice on funding rounds, strategic finance support across forecasting/modelling/deal support and scenario planning for growth and scale.

Why do you do it?

I love helping entrepreneurs push boundaries and scale startups in their chosen vertical. I am a firm believer that working with the right finance partner is a huge enabler to success; the right financial information and advice at the right time is critical to any founder, who already has an inordinate challenge on their hands building their business.

I joined CP because I believe we are the firm who can provide this. We understand your business, the startup market and have seen and advised on everything that you are going to face. It’s awesome to be able to significantly help a Founder navigate growth & opportunity.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Before joining CP, I spent 8 years at ihorizon, as a director with the executive founding team, advising early stage tech clients and building a very reputable industry leading startup accounting practice, who’s services were recommended daily by founders, investors, lawyers, accelerators and work spaces up and down the country and overseas. We grew the business from a team of 10 to a team of 50 and have helped hundreds of startups. Apart from an abundance of client projects, the experience taught me a lot about running a business, as a business leader through to an exit and the challenges that entails. These lessons are ones that I am able to help our clients with going forward, as I’ve lived it. I joined CP via their acquisition of ihorizon in 2023.

At CP, I am responsible for leading the Early Stage practice, alongside Asif Ahmed (Partner and Head of Early stage) with our goal to build a world class Early Stage capability that aligns perfectly with the wider Tech & High Growth team in place at CP. Our clients who are now joining us are benefiting from a robust Early Stage monthly finance support service while also being part of firm who will be able to help them realize their growth ambitions. Designing this service, communicating it to prospective clients and onboarding them into our CP THG Early Stage team has been very rewarding!

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I am grateful to have experienced a lot and am thankful for everything I’ve achieved to date. If I had to choose two things on my list that I am yet to do, it would be. Courtside seats for the entire finals week of the NBA Playoff Finals (big basketball fan!) and living a life in Mallorca , my favourite place, the island has everything; a vibrant city, charming villages, idyllic beaches, tranquil coves, sailing, mountain backdrop, cycling, foody havens, architectural gems and a very purposeful way of life!
