What do you do?

I am an audit manager here at CP. I manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors and essentially make sure their financial statements are materially accurate and in line with reporting standards.

Why do you do it?

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to be when I grew up. I just knew I wanted to work in the corporate world and “Girlboss” my way to success. I did various types of work experience and enjoyed accounting and auditing; so, when I graduated from my history degree and was offered a job at one of my placements, I happily accepted.

I am now working at Cooper Parry and absolutely love the culture and environment. I work with brilliant people whose individual characteristics are encouraged and celebrated.

I enjoy learning about what makes my clients tick and how I can help them smash their goals! I take pride in providing a smooth audit experience and being down to earth and approachable. I like to think of myself as an extension of my client’s team.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

As well as auditing and more compliance-based work, I have also had opportunities to be involved in due diligence work, detailed systems reviews and restructuring advice.

My experience not only consists of audit but I have also worked on VAT returns, management accounts and corporation tax compliance which gives me added insight into the day to day processes of my clients.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I love to learn and the next thing on my bucket list is to learn another language and be able to travel to that country to practice my skills.
