What do you do?

I work within our Entrepreneurial Private Client team help entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses to navigate through an increasingly complex tax system. I get involved in a wide range of tax matters from corporate restructuring to helping business owners manage their wealth in a tax efficient manner.

The key is delivering tax advice which is both commercial and in plain English!

Why do you do it?

I studied physics at university as I always enjoyed problem solving. I somewhat fell into a career in tax but soon discovered that it provided the ideal opportunity to use those problem-solving skills and work with lots of people from different backgrounds.

I really enjoy working at CP. The culture here is completely different to most professional services firms.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

While working at CP I’ve been involved in many different types of projects from company reconstructions, management buy-outs and 3^rd party sales to advising on family trusts.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Once my two children are older, I’d like to travel more and see the world. I’d like to visit each continent at least once (maybe except Antarctica!). Failing that a trip to the Superbowl or US Masters golf tournament would certainly be on the list!
