Let’s talk today
Want us to call you? Let’s start a conversation!
What do you do?
I work with employers as they try to manage tax compliance on employment related payments. Employment tax is an extremely broad area, covering anything that can arise with an employee from the start of their employment, all the way through to termination. It also covers workers engaged as self-employed and workers travelling overseas. My days are hugely varied, which I why I love employment tax so much!
Why do you do it?
I most enjoy working with clients to understand their business and employee populations. I love to see a business grow and adapt, such as expanding into new locations and allowing me to support them through changing landscapes and various challenges that arise. I also love helping clients to take advantage of opportunities to incentivise their workforce.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
I am currently involved in a number of projects, including supporting clients as they venture into new locations overseas. I am working with clients to understand and effectively plan for the corporate, employee, and employer implications of employees working overseas to grow the business. This allows employers to make informed decisions and to offer the employees the support they need with cross-border moves.
I am also supporting a number of clients with claiming back National Insurance Contributions from HMRC following a recent tax case that HMRC have decided not to appeal. Some clients have estimated refunds of up to £90k, which has been a great result!
What’s on top of your bucket list?
I would love the opportunity to travel the world and explore different cultures and environments, with an aim to visit every continent on earth. I have undertaken an overseas secondment in the past, and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities that spending extended time overseas offered.
