What do you do?

I manage a portfolio of entrepreneurial, owner-managed businesses, offering support with your business’s daily and annual tax issues, and helping you to make informed decisions for your future. I work closely with the accounts managers in the outsourcing team to support your business growth by freeing up your time to focus on what you do best.

Why do you do it?

The accounting profession was always the career for me (exciting, right?), although I found my home when Cooper Parry offered me the opportunity to join their award-winning tax team. I love understanding a business’s culture and how we can create a plan that sticks to your company’s values. Being able to help growing businesses like yours understand the tax issues you’re facing, showing you how to work around them and achieve your goals gives me a real buzz.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I mainly help businesses with their annual corporation tax reporting. However, helping businesses with their everyday tax issues and helping to plan for the future is also a big part of what I do. Assisting companies with tax efficient restructures for the future and implementing share incentive plans are just a couple of projects I have worked on with businesses.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’m a bit of a petrolhead – ever since a young age, I’ve just wanted something fast! There’s plenty of cars that can do that, but my real dream is to be able to race them (on the track, of course!). I always dreamed of being able to regularly compete, but unfortunately, motorsport isn’t cheap…
