What do you do?
I work in a team with two jobs:
- Looking after CP’s own sustainability journey, B Corp, how we meet our Net Zero commitment etc
- Working with our clients across the full suite of our Sustainable Advisory offering
Why do you do it?
I studied Natural Sciences at uni with lots of Environmental Science, but grad jobs in sustainability didn’t really exist at the time. I did three years of audit, got my ACA, didn’t love it, and realised that a strong data skillset is really helpful in sustainability, and you could now get a job doing it!
What kind of projects have you been involved with?
I have helped clients calculate their carbon footprints, set net zero targets and provided assurance for ESG reporting. So much in sustainability is completely new, it’s great being able to help clients work out where to start and set ambitious targets.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
Exploring beautiful places. I’ve been trekking in the Atlas Mountains and the Andes so far and I’ve got the bug – can’t decide if Nepal, Tibet, Indonesia or Patagonia is next!
