What do you do?

I’m an Associate Director in the Transaction Services team where I support clients and provide commercial advice on potential acquisitions, investments and lends. By taking a deeper dive into the numbers, my role is to ensure everything is as it seems, manage risk and feed back to our clients in an easy and digestible way to enable them to make informed decisions.

Why do you do it?

I really enjoy getting under the skin of a business to understand what makes it, and Management, tick; every project is different, and I really love working with new people, building those relationships, and bringing as much value to our clients as possible, in a friendly and approachable way.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’ve had the opportunity to work across a real mix of transaction types, be it corporate acquirers, private equity investment or loan financing in sectors ranging from tech/SaaS based businesses all the way through to manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, insurance and consultancy to name a few.

A real plus to working in the mid-market space is the breadth of knowledge we build in our roles as advisors, and the ability to work with a wide variety of people and businesses from well-established to young and fast growing.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’ve got a ‘500 best places to visit’ book which I’m gradually ticking my way through (apparently you can’t take the accountant out of audit…). Currently at 61 so it’s a lengthy bucket list!
