What do you do?

I work with Early Stage companies to help them understand and grow their business. This includes Forecasting, Bespoke Reporting, Process Improvement, Due Diligence Support – and generally assisting founders with anything Finance related that comes their way.

Why do you do it?

I can’t say it was my childhood dream to become an accountant!  But saying that, I do really enjoy the variety that comes with the role. I work with new founders with cutting edge ideas, get to understand their business and work with them to provide the support that allows them to effectively scale their business.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’ve supported a client through a near £100m valuation exit, from building the initial financial model for prospective investors, to leading the financial Due Diligence  process.

I’ve managed day-to-day finances and monthly reporting for a Health-Tech Group as they’ve expanded into the US and grown annual revenues from £15m – £50m.

I’ve worked with a client to build an accounting playbook and process flow for an entirely new business with plans to grow an international e-commerce platform. Within two years, sales had exceeded $100m and I handed over to a full internal finance team.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’d love to spend some more time in Asia after spending 6 few months over there when I was younger. Although I’m not sure how easy this will be with a baby on the way and a full-time job to consider!
