What do you do?

I help clients manage their audit, accounting, and tax responsibilities so they can focus on running and developing their business.

Why do you do it?

I really enjoy the variety of work, the company of my colleagues and providing solutions to clients. Looking back I have fell into practically ever thing I do and never had a any five year plans (too busy with other peoples plans) but I love that and helping others has always been my reward. Not one to boast but I am right up there with the best on spreadsheet and that is the one “tool” that has genuinely revolutionised my work (other software promises to but, they are just pretenders to crown).

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

The variety makes it exciting but my role in all projects is to keep things simple and summarise information to understandable and useable levels. Whether it is financial reporting, auditing, tax plans or business projections I can inspire confidence in people that they are making decisions based on the full picture and choose from understandable options.

What’s top of your bucket list?

I’ve inherited it from my father but I want to watch Swinton Lions RLFC (my local rugby league team) win the Rugby Challenge Cup at Wembley. (It is a strange one but they last won the cup in 1928 and the final was moved to Wembley in 1929 … geek!)
