What do you do?

I’m an Audit Director, acting as the main point of contact for my clients. I spend time understanding them as people, understanding their businesses and understanding what they want to achieve. I help them get to where they want to take their business and find solutions to problems and issues on the way. I ensure they have an efficient compliance process, allowing them to spend more time on running their business. Compliance work is an opportunity to get under the skin of a business which helps us identify areas where we can genuinely help drive improvements and add value to what they are trying to achieve.

Why do you do it?

I was undecided about what to do and made the leap to accounting. But I’ve never looked back. The variety within the role, the different challenges I see daily, the value I can add to clients, the progression within the firm which I’ve had and seen have meant that I love coming to work.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’m a bit of a geek, I love getting my head around complex technical issues. Apart from satisfying my curiosity for knowledge, being able to provide clients with an end result which hits all their objectives and helps them get to where they want to go is so rewarding.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’ve always wanted to travel around Australia. I’d love to see the great barrier reef, attempt to surf and enjoy Christmas on the beach.
