What do you do?

I lead a team of legal wizards who turn fine print to fine art! We are here to guide our clients through their business journey by providing commercially astute and sound advice on all their business needs. 

We bring an inhouse ethos to our work which means clients see us as part of their team, rather than an external advisor. 

Why do you do it?

A wise woman (my mum) once said, “If you went to university and did a law degree you’ll be able to do anything…” Turns out that was law itself! The reason I love it is I enjoy problem-solving, whether that’s finding share structures solutions or tackling difficult drafting; also, I’m terrible at maths so accountancy was out of the question. 

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’ve worked on all manner of projects, but advising a client on bringing in new investors into a start up business is one I remember well. Balancing the quick need for cash and enthusiasm to build the business with ensuring the client was protected under the legal documentation. 

What’s on top of your bucket list?

To see Sunderland lift the FA Cup, although I fear the only trophy I will ever see them lift is the Papa John’s trophy, which doesn’t have the same ring to it!
