I work as a Deal Originator in our Corporate Finance team. I’m responsible for contacting owners of privately-owned businesses across our chosen sectors of Healthcare, Technology & Business Services, to advocate how our team can help them grow or sell when the time is right. Relationship building & management is a key aspect of my role, often nurturing these over a prolonged period, given the nature of these processes & what these businesses mean to their owners.

Why do you do it?

I really enjoy researching into & learning so much about all the various sub-sectors I’m exposed to. As well as meeting & engaging with a variety of business owners, who have such an interesting & diverse background. Furthermore, I’ve developed so much both professionally & personally, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of such an excellent team – including working for a brilliant firm like CP!

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Having been in the role as of November 2021, some of the standout projects I’ve been closely involved with in relation to my business development/origination efforts have been in the Insurance, ESG, Health Tech & Training/Compliance sub-sectors.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

It’d have to be travel related – my top destination specifically being New Zealand! It’s a beautiful place that I’ve admired ever since I was a child, primarily due to my being a fan of ‘The Lord of the Rings’!
