I help forward-thinking, tech-driven businesses turn their innovation into impact, by unlocking R&D tax relief. I work closely with software start-ups and scale-ups to understand their products, platforms, and pain points, and guide them through the process of preparing robust, compliant claims that stand up to scrutiny. I translate complex technical detail into narratives HMRC understands, and ensure clients get the support they need, without the jargon.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

I didn’t grow up dreaming of tax reliefs, but once I discovered the R&D tax space, I was hooked. It’s one of the few places where technology, creativity, and commercial impact all intersect. I get to speak with founders and engineers who are building incredible things, and help them access the funding they deserve. CP makes it even more enjoyable because the people, culture and progressive mindset are second to none.

WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

I’ve worked across sectors, but software is where I feel most at home. From SaaS platforms solving industry problems, to machine learning startups and fintech disruptors, I’ve helped them all navigate the R&D landscape. Whether it’s preparing detailed claims, managing risk, or reviewing submissions for accuracy, I bring a practical, client-first approach that ensures value and peace of mind.

WHAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

Top of my list is exploring the Himalayas as I’d love to experience the vastness, peace, and challenge of trekking through such an iconic mountain range. I’m also drawn to Japan, for its rich culture, incredible food, and the contrast between centuries-old traditions and cutting-edge modern life. Both destinations offer something completely different, but each would be an unforgettable adventure!
