The Corporate Finance team at Cooper Parry has led the sale of a division of leading healthcare specialists Pennine Healthcare to privately owned medical supply manufacturers Unisurge, based in Newmarket.
We acted as lead advisers to the shareholders of Pennine Heathcare on the disposal of its medical procedure packs division to Unisurge. Fraser Cunningham from East Midlands law firm, Smith Partnership, provided legal advice to the selling shareholders, whilst Philip Speer from Thomas Webb and Corfield acted for the buyers.
Pennine Healthcare is one of the UK’s leading privately owned manufacturers of single use, sterile medical devices and customer procedure packs. The business has gone from strength to strength over the past fifty years and now markets its products and services in more than 50 countries worldwide and employs around 380 people at its purpose-built premises in Derby.
Founded in 1988, Unisurge is a trusted manufacturer and supplier of practitioner-specific procedure packs, dressing packs, medical disposable and theatre products to healthcare professionals.
The acquisition of Pennine Healthcare’s medical procedure packs in the UK and Ireland, division of will enable the company to continue its targeted expansion programme.
