BUDGET '24 - THE LOWDOWN

October’s Budget promises to ruffle a few feathers (which might be the understatement of the Century) with Sir Keir Starmer stating that the proposed changes will be ‘painful’, and ‘tough’.

Sounds more like the synopsis of a horror movie than an upcoming Budget.

It’ll be the first major fiscal announcement for the new administration who have warned that tax rises are likely but are currently playing their cards close to their chests in terms of the details.

Flashback to their pre-election campaign, Labour made a point of trying to win over the tech community with policies that promised increased investment and economic stability. We’ll be watching with keen eyes to see how the proposed changes implemented will support this sector against the backdrop of the proposed tax hikes.
