We’ve been working closely with Chris for over 10 years now, across the Cooper Parry Wealth (CPW) and wider Cooper Parry (CP) teams.
As well as supporting Chris with his own financial planning, CP audited Encore Personnel, Chris’ former business, before advising the team through its sale to Gi Group Holding in 2022.
“I first found out about Cooper Parry when they were recommended to me through my network.”
“I was in talks with another huge firm, but I didn’t want to become another number in the portfolio. I was looking for a service that was more intimate, more personal, and more hands-on.”
“The joined-up thinking has helped enormously.”
“Because we’ve built this fantastic relationship over time, and the team are aware of the sale, the tax implications and my aspirations for the future, they’ve tailored the offering to align with those factors and the things I want to achieve.”
For Chris, many of those aspirations were travel related. So, we honed his financial plan with an appropriate structure to provide a tax-efficient income, whilst Chris focused on the things he really valued and his ideal lifestyle.
“Working with the team has really enabled me to travel the world and chip through my bucket list. When I turned 50, I made a ’50 things to do before I die’ list, and I’ve already done 22 of those.”
In recent times, they’ve included “an incredible bucket list trip” to Everest Basecamp, as well as visits to Bali, Hawaii, LA and Vietnam.
“The key word is trust.”
“Tom and Ewan have been brilliant to work with at CPW. There is a real relationship there. I trust them always to act in my best interest. I’m very comfortable with the fact that they’re at the end of the phone, or on hand to meet in person if I want to speak about something more in depth.”
“It’s the peace of mind that I really value, too. I can run ideas past the team, explore tax saving opportunities and know I’m getting great advice. Ultimately, the more they can make my finances work, the more I can carry on doing ridiculous things! So long may it continue.”
