What do you do?

Day to day, I prepare, finalise and complete service charge accounts. This involves communicating with our clients and working closely to resolve any queries on the accounts. My work covers both commercial and residential accounts, and I’m involved in thinking of new ways of working to improve our team and service.

Why do you do it?

I left university and had always thought about being an accountant as my dad is one. I applied to CP, unsure which accountancy specialism I wanted to pursue. They offered me a job in service charge and I thought, let’s see how I find it, and I’ve done it ever since.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I have been involved in implementing a new system which has helped improve our efficiency in getting the first drafts prepared for our clients. This has helped meet their KPIs and made it possible to track and report on the process.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

The top of my bucket list is to go to the Borneo Orangutan Sanctuary. I would love to volunteer there for a few weeks and be a small part of the amazing work they do as I have always loved orangutans.
