What do you do?

I’m a Tax Partner working with a team of talented tax geeks who advise on everything tax. My particular bag is Corporate & International Tax, and because of this, I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with so many interesting people during my 20-year career. These have included entrepreneurs, owner managed businesses, businesses backed by external private equity funds and finance teams of large companies/international groups. You can rely on us to take care of your taxes however complex they may be.

Why do you do it?

I’m proud to be a Tax Partner at Cooper Parry – I love it here, the diversity, amazing people and interesting clients that you meet.  Everyone at CP is encouraged to work hard and play hard which fits in perfectly with me.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

My role is all about understanding a client’s business so I can take care of the tax angle. This remit is pretty wide so I get involved in really varied projects. For example, I love seeing companies grow and expand into new markets. I’ve helped a number of companies set up overseas, in France, Germany, the US etc. Each country is different, they all have their own rules, and I help my clients understand what’s needed, saving them the time of having to work it out themselves. I often advise groups of companies and I’ve helped maximise tax reliefs across a group by simple tax planning.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

There are so many things on my list but if I had to choose it would be learning how to DJ so I can take charge of the decks and the music at any party.
