What do you do?

I’ve recently changed roles to become more focused on team management and training, having spent most of my audit career to date being client facing. When not delivering internal training to our ever-expanding team, you’ll find me involved in day to day management of team wellbeing and development, as well as working on our accounts preparation offering internally within the audit team.

Why do you do it?

I fell into an audit role on a graduate scheme after finishing university. I love the variety that audit brings day to day, as well as building relationships with different people from different backgrounds. I’m a true believer that it’s the people that set CP apart from other firms, and its building these relationships and developing people’s careers that keeps me motivated.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Having built a good sized portfolio of privately owned client businesses, I recently moved to a more internally focused role. I now invest my time in developing the audit team from both a technical and career focused perspective. I also work closely with some of our offshore colleagues in terms of preparing financial statements within our audit software, with a primary focus on quality and streamlining our processes.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’d love to visit Canada and the Rocky Mountains. The scenery and wildlife all look incredible, and to visit in person with my wife and kids while making some lifelong memories would be awesome.
