I operate in a Business Development role as part of our Deal Origination unit here at Cooper Parry (CP) Deals – specifically for our Corporate Finance division. I build relationships with privately owned UK-based businesses that operate across our core sectors: Business/Professional Services, Healthcare, Technology & Automotive, advocating our services to support them with either their growth ambitions via raising capital, PE or acquisition, or plans for a sale. We then introduce clients to the right advisors in our network to support with deal completion, providing a breadth of market intel, knowledge, experience & insight derived from our international partnership with REACH M&A.
Why do you do it?
I relish the opportunity to connect with business owners from all walks of life & the businesses they’ve created, including researching, learning & understanding about their growth journey both personally and professionally. I really enjoy meeting & engaging with individuals from such an interesting & diverse background, and it’s rewarding to see how we can support the next growth phase of their business.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
Key sub-sectors that I’ve been heavily involved with span multiple verticals in Technology including FinTech, RegTech, AutoTech & HealthTech. Also across Business/Professional Services including Legal Services, Insurance & Training/Compliance.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
It’d have to be travel related – my top destination being New Zealand! Originally stemmed from my childhood of being a fan of ‘The Lord of the Rings’, it’s a beautiful country with breathtaking sites that I’d love to explore & behold one day.
