What do you do?

I’ve got a varied role – I’ve been part of the Audit Leadership Team for the last 12 years in various guises, I lead the firm’s relationship with around 25 clients and I win new business for the firm, either for myself or by helping others.

Why do you do it?

I love helping people – I help clients with their business challenges, and I help my teammates in whichever ways I can. Working at CP gives me an opportunity to do my best work every day in a culture that I love and with the best team in the UK – it couldn’t be replicated anywhere else.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

My role now involves relationship management, leadership and business development rather than getting stuck into the detail of a project, so what I’m involved in is making sure all my clients are happy with the service they’re getting from CP, the team are happy and doing great work for themselves, each other and our clients, and the audit team is growing quickly by winning lots of the right type of new work i.e. clients we enjoy working with. Over the years I’ve worked with a number of clients from the professional services sector with a focus on Partnerships.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’ve got lots of stuff I want to do but something that’s been there for about 35 years is to own, and use, a season ticket at Exeter City. I was born in Exeter and I’ve been a passionate fan since I was first taken to a game at the age of 10. Living in the Midlands, plus work, family, etc have meant I’ve tended to go to between 10 and 20 games every season, but I would love to be able to go to all the home games – maybe one for retirement!
