    What do you do?

Previous auditor, current Accounting and Advisory Manager, living no day the same. You will find me sifting between technical accounting and assurance projects, to supplier claims and agreements analysis, data analytics and sustainability reporting, to name just a few…. and loving everyday of it.

There’s a quote that comes to mind when I want to define what I do: ‘perfection is the enemy of progress. Just because we don’t know it all, doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be taking action.’ I live by it as I enjoy throwing myself deep in a new and challenging area and get to the bottom of it.

    Why do you do it?

Because I genuinely love it. I love the CP culture, which is so open, flexible and based on trust. And I love the projects I get to work on – no day is the same!

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Rebate audits – saving clients millions by submitting claims to suppliers or reviewing suppliers’ audit claims and rejecting where appropriate.

IFRS Impact assessment and transitions – accounting advisory for IFRS transitions for those companies looking to get listed and either don’t have the resources internally or the advanced knowledge required to cope with the complexities of an IFRS transition.

Technical accounting projects – a variety of one-off accounting support such as new standards implementation, management fees review for international group of companies, SOX compliance. When we perform these projects for our clients they have the time to focus on the company’s growth.

AAF audits – assurance reporting providing comfort over the design, implementation, and effectiveness of controls. Usually required by pensions and investment funds customers.
Insights and analytics – supporting our clients to transform their data into business and operational insights, combining technology and data science techniques.

Sustainability Reporting and Assurance – sustainability is on everyone’s lips right now and I’m working on injecting valuable credibility and confidence into our clients’ ESG efforts through sustainability reporting and assurance.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

To play with my luck at the swing at the end of the world in Ecuador.

Because it’s both adrenaline and travel. No safety harness, just all heart; the swing at the edge of the world in Ecuador calls out only to the ones brave enough to swing over a drop of a few hundred feet with nothing to break the fall.
