    What do you do?

I help save our clients as much money as possible, as fast as possible. We do this by looking at the works carried out by a client on existing properties or new buildings and determining how to maximise tax savings and take advantage of any other reliefs they may be eligible for.

    Why do you do it?

After initially applying for an audit role at CP, I fancied trying something slightly different, so I switched to a tax role during the application process and haven’t looked back since. For me, there’s nothing better or more satisfying than saving clients money in areas they may not have considered before or made the most of in the past.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

After moving from business tax compliance earlier this year, I have been fortunate to be involved in a wide breadth of projects so far in my career. These projects have ranged in spend from a few hundred thousand up into the hundreds of millions! With new ways to accelerate the tax savings becoming more prevalent in the current climate, I don’t think there could have been a better time to move into the capital allowances team.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Being a petrol head, the ultimate on my bucket list would taking part in the Gumball 3000 rally, a 3000-mile supercar rally across Europe’s best driving roads and major cities. Ideally, I would love to do this in a Ferrari F12 TDF or the new Ferrari 812 Competizione, but I don’t think I could be choosy!
