What do you do?

I help exciting, fast-growing start ups to raise investment. This could be a high-growth tech business or a stand-out consumer brand. My role involves working closely with talented founders to help scale their businesses, by unlocking connections to venture capital funds and other investors. I then help founders to see the deal through to completion by helping to negotiate the best deal for their future growth.

Why do you do it?

I fell into the world of early-stage investment following a short placement on a government-funded contract that provided coaching to start-ups. I’ve grown to love the industry and all its quirks and CP is the perfect place to continue that journey with some old (and new!) colleagues. There is definitely a rush associated with running multiple deals at once, all with very different requirements, but it’s a fantastic feeling knowing you’re helping to secure the future of many exciting businesses.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Before joining CP I worked for 5 years at Grant Thornton in their corporate finance practice. Since I’ve started at CP, I’ve been working on fundraisings for a kombucha business and an exciting athlete performance management platform. It’s been fantastic seeing the market open again since COVID-19 hit and I’m pleased to see so many start-ups keen to go on the funding journey again to expedite their growth.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Definitely to eat my way across the globe, trying out as many new cuisines as possible!
