What do you do?

I’m an Assistant Manager within the Tech & High Growth team down in London. I’m generally project managing the day to day of audits liaising with the audit team & the client to ensure the audit process goes as smoothly & effectively as possible while also providing value to our clients. 

Why do you do it?

I’ve always been analytic, good with numbers and interested in finance so a role in finance was always on the cards from a young age and with my Mom being an accountant I got exposure through work experience to accounting. The auditors were in at the time of my work experience so that’s how I found out about audit in general, and started my career straight from 6th form. 

To be honest I don’t know that I’d have enjoyed a standard desk job in the same office with the same people so audit provided the change of scenery, clients & teams which has kept me on my toes and dare I say I’ve enjoyed my career so far (I’m not boring I promise). Technology is also in line with this, the constant evolution and development of all different types of technology is fascinating to me so again this department is a natural fit to me. 

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I trained up in the Core Audit team based in the West Midlands so I’d need a whole page to type out individual projects, but I’ve audited everything from oriental supermarkets to children’s book publishers to breweries to academies and got to learn the intricacies of each industry along the way allowing advice to be given to each and every client. 

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Despite being naturally a fairly stoic person, I don’t really have a bucket list as such.  

With that being said I’m a massive music lover, especially all things rap, so I’ve dabbled with music production and would love to produce at least one professional song. So, if anyone happens to know Playboi Carti let me know…
