What do you do?

Hi, I’m Jay, and I work within the Service Charge department at Cooper Parry. My roles and responsibilities include preparing clients’ expenditure lists for commercial and residential properties.

In addition to this I am responsible for the bookkeeping of numerous management companies where I record transactions and produce financial statements.

Why do you do it?

I have a strong mathematical background and have recently completed a Mathematics and Statistics degree. Applying my understanding of real-world problems to Service Charge has enabled me to demonstrate the skills that I have acquired and keep on learning!

I have previously worked in volunteering roles and as a tutor to support young people in developing their skills. Working at Cooper Parry has provided me the opportunity to extend my existing knowledge and work effectively with colleagues and clients.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Every day is different, I have worked on many exciting projects!

Some examples include supporting companies with their invoicing and queries in my bookkeeping role.

I have developed my skills and experience of Xero and developed my reporting skills to deliver tailored information to my clients.
