      What do you do?

Simply put, I get to talk to some amazing companies about innovative projects (something I absolutely love), helping them fund further research by utilizing the Research & Development incentives schemes – it’s not rocket science, but ultimately, we could be funding just that!

      Why do you do it?

I do it because ever since I was little, I was a bit of an engineering geek – I always have been, ever since being a little kid all the way up to serving in the Royal Engineers, I just love understanding how things work such as how submarines maintain pressure at depth to understanding new methods of additive manufacturing (3D printing)!

But if you want to know the real reason I love my job, simply put, it’s all down to the people. We have a fantastic team here at Cooper Parry and most of all I value my team.

Oh, and did I mention I work for the #1 Accountancy Firm in the UK?

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

This is a hard one, I’ve been involved in so many great projects! My personal favorite would be visiting an automotive manufacturer in the West Midlands, where they were not only building prototype Hypercars of the future (which then were debuted a year later at the Geneva motor show), but they were also recreating some timeless classics such as the Jaguar D-type and Aston Martin DB-9 from scratch but using new technology.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’ve been lucky enough to tick off a lot of my bucket list throughout my time in the military, I’ve thrown myself out of a plane on multiple occasions, but I’d love to jump from a hot air balloon – I think it’s just the feeling of pure serenity followed by a huge adrenaline rush!
