What do you do?
My role is to advocate for all things D&I at Cooper Parry. I help to facilitate the wonderful D&I committee, where we amplify the voices of people from all areas of CP and support the further education of CPers on issues relating to D&I. I also work a lot in the background to implement policies and strategies that support an inclusive culture and a celebration of diversity here at CP.
Why do you do it?
I am deeply passionate about Diversity & Inclusion, and I believe it is the most important thing a company can invest in to develop an efficient and sustainable workforce. I want to support people to be able to bring their whole selves to work and to share their unique voices and perspectives. We all benefit from an advancement of D&I and I feel privileged to be a part of such an important journey.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
I’m currently working with a few charities to help support youth from diverse backgrounds to enter a career in accountancy, which is really exciting. It is a huge privilege to be able to directly impact young people and enable them to fully explore their career options.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
I am proudly autistic and love to educate others on the wonderful benefits of neurodivergence in the workplace. One day, I’d love to give a TedTalk, write a book, or volunteer with the National Autistic Society.
