What do you do?
My role is to invest time with my clients in helping them understand what their financial information tells them about their business. That could include assisting and advising them in making key decisions in managing and growing their business.
More specifically I’m here to assist you in managing year end procedures, in ensuring the statutory accounts and tax computations are completed in line with UK accounting standards and filed in good time at Companies House and HMRC as appropriate.
Working with you, I will look to introduce other specialists’ areas to your business to ensure we fully explore any tax savings opportunities. This may include VAT, R&D and Capital Allowances to name but a few.
Why do you do it?
After 25 years, why am I still at CP? Well, it’s quite simple really. It’s the people I work with who constantly challenge the “Status Quo” and constantly look to disrupt and find a better way of doing things. It has a great culture and is truly a great place to work.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
The most rewarding part of my work is spending time with clients, understanding their short term and long term objectives, and playing a “small part” in their success. That could include meeting with clients on a monthly or quarterly basis to discuss the financial results, or assisting clients in looking to the future and pulling together forecasts to obtain additional funding requirements.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
Since a very early age I have loved watching and playing cricket, and therefore top of my bucket list is to go and watch England play Australia at the MCG on Boxing Day.
