What do you do?
I’m a manager in the specialist Not for Profit team at Cooper Parry.
I’m lucky enough to work with a wide range of Not for Profit clients, ranging from grant making, cultural and other local charities through to education-based clients such as student unions and academies.
I run audits from planning through to completion, working in partnership with my colleagues and the client to deliver an outstanding audit service.
Why do you do it?
Since I began my journey in Accountancy, Not for Profit quickly called to me – I find it incredibly rewarding to work in partnership with a sector dedicated to making the world a better place.
There’s so much variety to the sector, no two clients, or audits are the same – it really does feel like you learn something new each and every day.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
Audit and assurance services are the core service offering, but I have been involved in various other projects to help meet our clients goals and needs.
This has included reviewing clients’ risk registers, advising on reserves management and accounting and assisting on day to day issues with financial systems and processes.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
I love travelling (and eating!), I’ve been fortunate enough to hike to the summit of Mount Fuji, and through the Canadian Rockies in the past few years.
The next top spot for me is Vietnam, I can’t wait to have the opportunity to visit and explore the countryside and cuisine.
