What do you do?

My role at Cooper Parry is a Relationship Partner and Head of East Midland’s audit. As a relationship partner, I work closely with my clients, understanding where they are now and where they are trying to get to, leading our team to provide pragmatic solutions to allow them to achieve their goals.

In my role as Head of East Midlands audit I am responsible for leading a team of around 80 people to ensure they have the skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.

Why do you do it?

I love building relationships with clients, understanding their challenges and helping to resolve them. The fast paced, dynamic environment is why I enjoy working what I do – no day is ever the same and it’s great to be able find solutions whether it be a commercial or accounting challenge.

The same goes for my role within Cooper Parry. I really enjoy working closely with the team and being able to coach and support others to help them realise their ambitions is highly rewarding.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

My role as Relationship Partner sees me getting involved in a variety of project from supporting a new growing business through an incorporation process, to supporting in the recruitment of key people in a client’s finance team, advising on personal and corporate strategy, to supporting a client through the challenge of selling their business.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Going to Disney World in Florida with my wife Katherine and our two girls when they are a little bit older. I was lucky enough to go when I was much younger and it was magical at that age (and still is now!). I can’t wait to see their faces and share in their excitement.
