The team at Cooper Parry Corporate Finance has concluded a busy third quarter after acting for the vendors on the sale of bespoke e-learning providers Mind Click, to market leaders Learning Pool.
Cooper Parry acted as lead advisers to the shareholders of Mind Click, which was established in 2010 by Sean Reddington and three fellow directors, and has offices in Nottingham and Brighton. Legal advice was provided by Austin Moore.
The company provides a complete solution for corporate learning requirements in areas such as compliance training, product knowledge and customer service training. Clients include AstraZeneca, Berlitz, Boots, Procter & Gamble, DFS, Farrow & Ball, Google, Sky, University of Lincoln and Travelodge.
Learning Pool was founded in Derry in 2006 by Paul McElvaney and is Northern Ireland’s largest e-learning company. Clients range from Government bodies and public sector organisations to mid-to-large corporates operating across a range of sectors.
The company achieved the highest accreditation in the 2016 Sunday Times list of Top 100 companies to work for and was named one of Ireland’s fastest growing technology companies in the 2015 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards. It won the Customer Focus Award at the Institute of Customer Service awards and was named Learning Provider of the Year by the Learning and Performance Institute.
Following its acquisition of Mind Click, Learning Pool will employ over 120 people in Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Sean Reddington, Mind Click’s Managing Director, is reinvesting in the expanded business and will join Learning Pool’s strategic management team. He will now work alongside CEO Paul McElvaney to grow the business further with new product development and expansion into new markets.
Commenting on the acquisition, Paul McElvaney said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Mind Click to the Learning Pool family. The company’s organic growth in recent years has been remarkable and driven by genuine innovation and customer focus. These are attributes that we share at Learning Pool and I’m confident that this acquisition will be a springboard to deliver more innovative training solutions to our clients.
Sean Reddington added:
“We’re excited to join Learning Pool which has enjoyed sustained growth and has led the way in rolling out Totara LMS and off the shelf content to its 1.25 million learners across 350 companies and government bodies.
“The combination of our two organisations will provide a compelling end-to-end learning solution for customers in a market that is growing globally”.
